Books & Comics / The Lies of Locke Lamora

Finished this last night at it is a truly awesome book!

Well written, intriguing and with characters you really fall in love with.

It's tense, funny, shocking, rewarding and ultimately very, very entertaining.

A must read.

Really did not warm to the VC's at all. bad artwork, sloppy script, glad it's over.

Sad really because I loved the original version.

Bloody hell - why is there always so much whining fanboyness when it comes to a who thread.

I thought it was a superb episode, very funny, very dramatic and a great Who - lots of fun the way it should be.

Help! / Need a Flash Doodle Pad
01 July, 2006, 12:56:34 AM
Hi Everyone

I know there have been some cool links on here in the past relating to online Flash doodle pads.

We're doing some work for a charity that wants an online doodle pad where the users can email the pics to people and also save them onto an online gallery.

Can antone help and point me in the right direction of where I can find one.

cheers
Mike

Skurve no need to get CS, you can do it like this:

working from top left to bottom right
1. rotate image so it's on it's side
2. go to filters/distort/shear
3. curve it how you like
4. rotate back to how it was
You can then mess around in transform to alter the perspective etc. to fit to how you want.

Off Topic / freelance artworker opportunity
16 June, 2006, 02:25:49 AM
Hi everyone

I'm looking for a freelance artworker to come and work with us for two weeks starting Monday, we're in Stamford Lincs, about half hour from Leicester, Peterborough, Oakham, Granthm and an hour from Notts and Lincoln.

MUST have experience of quark, indesign, pshop and Illustrator.

All the guys I use are either on holiday or working with me and an agency charges 17.5% on top of the bill so I just thought I'd ask before going to them.

Please mail me if anyone is interested

Cheers

tbh I think the dreamworks one looks better, and this was the first one into production as well so it's more a case of Pixar following - if that was the intention?
