If your fed up of just reading your well thumbed ?Watchmen? graphic novel you could follow the annotated watchmen site and pull the whole thing apart panel by panel.

Both sites have the exact same text but follow which one you like the layout of:

Good to see Boo Cook in the lead for The Chopper award for best "new" Artist, but I was just wondering on the definition of new?

With a whole month left is there a chance there will be a link put on the home page ao that visitors to the 2000 web site who dont frequent the board may notice the awards and take the time to vote.

>As Bolt says the hardest category to fill was Fanzine, we also werent sure if we could only include those with a vague link to 2000ad

reckon it should only be open to 2000AD fanzines but then you'll only have DogBreath & Zarjazz in the category.

If you don?t have the http://www.2000ad.org/redalert>Red Alert wallet from Prog 3 then the code next to the cut away from episode four of Invasion:

http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/thumbnails/3thumb.jpg> http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/reprints/thumbnails/extreme3_thumb.jpg> http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/thumbnails/4thumb.jpg>

NBLF EGTI LF NPIGNIZ NV ZINIHN G SIPKI TGF GNNGHC. LQ NBI EGTI NUPSF PIZ, EUN VS PIFELPGNVP GSZ PIEVPN NV BY LJJIZLGNIMW.

Which decodes as:

THIS PAGE IS TREATED TO DETECT A NERVE GAS ATTACK. IF THE PAGE TURNS RED, PUT ON RESPIRATOR AND REPORT TO HQ IMMEDIATELY.

>I got a big kick of of the Savage EE, 'cos it had the episode featuring one of my favourite bits of really early 2000AD; that cross-section of the Brit Resistance's secret base, complete with underground Hawker Harrier hangers.  I used to love stuff like that.

Was wondering if the farmhouse in Norfolk was supposed to be where Pat, Alan & John used to work out of 8-)

Might take a few hours to trawl through all the 1378 covers that have appeared so far, plus annuals, specials and everything else. It?s a thankless task that could take forever and who?d even acknowledge the time and effort you would have put in to do, but hey no tasks to small for W. R. Logan.

So my task started by firing up the 2000AD website, clicking on publications, then doing the difficult task of selecting the ?Cover Story? icon.

Once I?d got this far I had to have a cigarette and a coffee before getting the motivation to go on. Once the Cover Story had loaded I selected ?by thrill? and had another cigarette as even though I knew I was close to completing my task I needed to fortify my self for that final push.

I selected Tharg The Mighty from the 2000AD selection and then did the same for Annuals & Specials, finally all was revealed and before me were covers featuring Tharg The Mighty.

>I've alway been of the belief that all it would take to unite humanity would be an alien threat (or even just knowing we aren't alone) so that part of the plot seems reasonable to me.

Whereas I think the opposite.
If we ever prove there?s other intelligent life out there or if they get lost and stop by to ask for directions the powers that be will do whatever they can to get first contact and see what they can get out of it.
Lets face it Gene Roddenberry's peaceful view of the future will never happen, we?ll screw each other over for any small advantage & the idea of universal peace is just a pipe dream by people who cant face the fact that in the end were fucked.

Have heard something similar about Halo Jones. Still looking for the book that will back up the story.
