>i like the artist.but is he  depicting an alternate mega city one.?
what kind of law giver is that? MK?????

Perhaps its not a Lawgiver.

>the badge since when was it a an embroidered extra? what happened to the cheif judge he looks over weight? since when did any judge get into this condition. and when did the eagle mark appear on the back of the helmet?

This story is set before anything we?ve seen before so whos to say that at the end of 2099 when we start to see Dredd that a new uniform and gun have been brought in for the forthcoming new century.
As for Goodman he?s obviously possessed so at the end of the story we may see that effects of that would be to make him more gaunt and frail.

Like the story, like the look and cant say more than that. The best Ennis has produced for Tharg in ages.

John and Alan as consultant editors, ask them how many times they're consulted.

Beyond Honour, Their Is Duty...
Beyond Duty, Obsession...
And Beyond Obsession, Insanity.
Beyond That, There Is Only Judge Dredd

>I'm asuming in the end it was, amongst others, the consultant editors Wagner and Grant that approved the publication of the strip in it's present form..

After my time away and trying to catch up with what I?ve missed that has got to be the funniest thing I?ve read.

>The art in 'Monkey On My back' actually bothers me more than the writing. While the art is technically good, things like the overly-muscular Chief Judge Goodman,

Who says he?ll still be overly muscular by the end of it.

>In fact I'd like to ammend that earlier statement. After discussing this with several people I now believe that there has never been a story written in the history of stories that couldn't have been improved by the inclusion of a Monkey in a Hat. Maybe not as a main character, maybe just a cameo, or a bit part

Cant beat a monkey in a hat,

>A great prog!  (If only the phone ad page (which seems to have crept into the Meg aswell, hmm) would turn into Input again... - also, isn't that your pinball table Logan?)

Nope, my Pinball machine is in storage, still doing the rounds with the Galleries Of Justice exhibition. It will get its next outing at this years Moniaive festival, so I?ll get to play it for the first time in 18 months.

If you want real old style 2000 then Rufus is your man.

>The characterisation reads off, this Dredd isn?t very "young",

He isnt very young, cloned in 2066, so hes been alive for 33 years but his body is 38. He graduated in 2079 so he?s been on the streets for 20 years. Anyway I have no idea what Im answering as I havent got my Meg as I?m writing this.

>a female wolverine

Lady Deathstrike:
Wolverine's adamantium skeleton could be credited to her father, who developed the process of bonding adamantium to bones. Led to believe Wolverine was involved in stealing the process, Yuriko, in her thirst for revenge, had her body altered into a cyborg, thus giving her the ability to fight Wolverine at an equal playing field. At the last confrontation in Wolverine #76 and Wolverine #77, she discovered that he no longer had the adamantium, and she stopped the fight, seeing that there was no honor in killing someone that was not equipped to fight her (in another words, Wolverine was adamantium-less).

>Oh and Troutman, I was very careful to ask that only those who didn't actually know how the story was going to turn out posted here. I agree that what really is annoying is when someone tells you the ending of a story, be it in 2000AD, a TV programme or a film, which you have been careful not to watch reviews or trailers for, because you wanted to enjoy it properly.
>This thread is just for some good natured speculation, not to ruin anything for anyone! :)

So if someone posts something here that you never thought of and you get a flash, yeah that ties in with that and it all becomes clear. Isnt that ruining it just as much if I?d been on the board and said watch out for the power tower? (It appeared in episode one)

How do you know if people knew the ending or not?

The fact that we've rarely seen the poer tower in recent years and it was so prominent in ep 1 should have set peoples spoiler scanners buzzing.

Good job that I?d given the message board up for lent, would have been well pissed of if after avoiding the Sunday papers, not watching the news or listening to the radio I?d have read this message before the race was shown at 13:30. I like watching F1 but not all of us would have stayed up til 02.05 in the morning.

Also noticed on a F1 site that they had a pic for the new female PSI uniform:

>I suggest John Wagner as Alan's replacement.

Cant see John being interested in that, either because its another writers creation or simply because he wouldn?t be interested in doing Miss Jones. Also as Miss Jones isnt exactly the original creation Alan Moore may have people believe.
