Thanks for the welcome folks.

I've been lurking the board for awhile but the Dredd movie prompted me to sign up now, before all the band wagon jumpers turn up. 

I'm pretty sure the first Prog I bought was 429, but I was a bit too young to really get it, as I was still into Whizzer & Chips etc.

My first regular Prog was 519, I'd been getting Battle Action Force for a while and seeing 2000 AD adverts in it prompted me to pick up a copy of Tooth on the next trip to the shops with my mum.

Prog 519 was fantastic, with Bad Company, Slaine (with Glenn Fabry art) and Brendan McCarthy on Judge Dredd. It blew my my mind! I put in a regular order at the newsagent and the following week 2000 AD's 10th birthday Prog 520 arrived on my 11th birthday, when I saw the  cake on the wrap-around cover I knew this was the comic for me!
