McMahon and Fabry. I never enjoyed Bisley's work for Slaine that much. His skill as an artist isn't really in question but I always found his storytelling a hit-and-miss affair. It was easy to tell which parts of the story he was interested in working on and which parts he wasn't. He also managed to turn Slaine into what Mills had been trying to avoid when he created the strip - the whole overmuscled Frazetta barbarian thing. McMahon's version in particular was a joy to behold: All spiky and sinewy. Clearly not a pretty boy. Sky Chariots is pretty much perfect.
I'll give David Pugh an honorable mention too. Slaine's battle at Clontarf has a lot of energy I love re-reading.
