Books & Comics / Re: BAN THIS WASTED FILTH!

I picked up issues 1 & 2 a few weeks and really enjoyed some of the strips. The one about Buddha was my favourite by far though. I shall be keeping an eye out for further issues.

I'm feeling kinda sorry for old cyberleader. He's in his shagging prime and aint getting any. At his age I had a nice steady supply and never had to try. Then got past 30 and it's been drought after drought ever since with only the odd sip along the way. Now I just can't be arsed with the pursuit and all the jumping through hoops. I just hope and pray his sordid adventures increase perversely as he gets older (I was gonna use matures but then thought the better)and that he sticks around to tell us about them.

Congratulations on the new job. That must be a weight off.

Finally - a new book from arguably the slowest author that I read.
Ash , a new novel featuring David Ash from Haunted and Ghosts of Sleath.
Trouble is , it's not set for release until next year  :(

I have bad luck when it comes to reading novels - I started reading Richard Laymon novels , then about a month later , I read in SFX that he had died. Also I have read all Michael Crichtons novels and lo and behold he goes and dies! I also read Dan Brown who's on par for the slow stakes with Herbert.
Dead ? James Herbert ? What you talkin' bout Willis ? I trawled the net in my usual clumsy way and can find no mention of his demise. I met Mr Herbert many years ago at Adromeda books in Birmingham (I dearly miss that shop). Lovely bloke. Not the tallest writer (that's prolly Brian Lumley also a top fella) but probably one of the nicest. I presented him with what can only be described as a stack of books and inspite of a half-assed protest from the shopkeeper he signed em'all. They have pride of place on one of my many book heavy shelves. Long live Mr Herbert!

Life's so drokking fantastic because I'm geting free sat installed in my room next friday for only £16 it shoud be £56 but because I'm on benfinits and im disabled I get it for less sometimes being a brain damaged jobless layabout has its advanatages.
I'm outraged ! Apart from 'shoud, benfinits and advanatages' the fecker can spell. Oh,I get it. He's talking about tv and he's probably typing with both hands. Cyber, if it's Sky take a look around channels 914 and 950. I think you'll like what you find. Just remember that all calls are charged at a premium rate. So I've heard.

She may be setting poor old cyberleader up for a fall. Using him to wind-up the ex and giving the ex someone to take his anger out on. Still, a shag's a shag. Fortunately,in my experience, the crazy wenches are often the best lays. It's just the crap that follows that can be a nuisance. Go for it cyberleader, shag and be damned I say ! Shoot and scoot. Splash and dash. Come and go. Be respectful though, don't shag and brag. Unless it's to us of course, with details.

Voted for realistic but I enjoy both. Damn you for making me choose! Can I vote again ?

One of the boys from WESTLIFE on The ONE Show asked "How long does it take to grow a vegetable?".

No, really.

The answer should have been, "Well what age are you?"

You know what the hardest part is when cooking a vegetable?

Getting the wheelchair into the pot..
Ouch!

Threw the towel in with issue 4 after Tesco stopped getting it. It just wasn't worth the effort of traipsing to WH Smiths. I really wish it had been better and worth the effort. Shame (on me?). For the record I love The Boys and loved The Preacher(the comics you sods). Then again, I am a 47 year-old teenager. I'm growing old but you can't make me grow-up.

We were just talking about old school comedians / entertainers and we mentioned Norman Wisdom. My colleague suggested that a junior member of staff would not know who he was. The young chap said he indeed did not know of Norman Wisdom but he knew who Norman Bates was. Who is he we asked. "FatBoy Slim" he replied. "He's a DJ". Priceless.

Drove to Macclesfield at the weekend to collect progs 800 to 1300 and a couple of others. Complete run, woohoo! When I got there I was informed that a couple might be missing around the 900 mark. Boo! Got them home and found that I was missing a whopping 18 progs. Pretty miffed. To be fair though, the seller seemed a decent sort and I don't think he knew how many were actually missing. On the upside many of the free gifts were still attached to the progs, woohoo. Still a bit miffed though. I guess the moral is let the buyer beware.

Loved it. Have series 1-3 on DVD and if I ever see series 4 I will buy it without hesitation. The food dispensor and the shower on the Lexx - mental knobiness. Very funny and charming show.
