So excited about this the first volume was superb. Remember reading this dredd in the 90s Irish star newspaper. Speaking of newspaper strips will the Metro newspaper dredd strips be reprinted? :)
I'm hoping there'll be a special section at the end, collecting all other newspaper strips (the 1995 film adaptation, plus the Metro - not sure if there are others?)

Facebook has decided that it wants me to prove I am me and has  locked me out until I send it pictures of various of documents.

It's probably  because I don't  have my real DOB  logged (I'm 116 don't you know?).

But uploading images of passports and driving licenses sounds like a) a total scam  and b) a recipe for disaster.

Anybody else suffered this minor  impediment?
Quite a few subcultures have been targeted by hate campaigners using the 'report this profile' feature.  I've had tens (maybe a hundred) friends whose profiles were closed down, either temporarily or permanently due to the hate mongers :-(

Does natural honey work for hay fever, or is that an old wives' tale?

Locally produced honey was what I heard - might just be a placebo, but some have sworn by it.
A Kenalog jab used to be a life-saver for me, but my symptoms became less severe over time so my GP steered me onto generic meds instead.
The locally produced honey myth has been studied a number of times.  It doesn't matter where the pollen was from, by the time it's been through a bee, distilled and turned in to honey it has no effect (speaking as somebody whose asthma and hayfever would be greatly improved if it did).

Nearly involved in a head-on collision as a car branded with "QSC Safety" graphics (I think) attempted a reckless overtake on a blind bend on the A530 near Nantwich. I slammed on the brakes as he bore down on us and came to a stop just as he aborted, slowed down and pulled back in behind the car on his side. After I caught my breath, checked the boy in the back and drove on a few more seconds, we came upon a 30mph 'Community Speedcheck' zone which he would have just passed through. How ironic.
These guys?

I've started off the bidding on a few items (though don't expect to be in the race for very long) - also... bump!

Got my FCBD prog, though can't get the QR codes to work - (codes are too small / high resolution for my phone to detect) - anybody manage to get them to work yet?

I had never noticed that before. I do seem to vaguely recall he is (or was ) a Squaxx (?).
Well, they do have a song called "I am the law" (B-side of Dare, iirc).  Plus they fought with Sam Slade in Brit-Cit.

Well it is quite fashionable to have a beard these days. When I look around at work there is now a huge proportion of people with beards who never used to have them.

Whenever can I watch things like the Walking Dead I find myself wondering how some of the characters manage to remain clean shaven. I wouldn't have thought carrying a razor around was top priority for them. As for Slaine I guess he could use his axe.
I'd not want to do anything which could result in nicks and cuts in that kind of environment!

Slaine...Slaine! What have we told you about sticking plums in your eye sockets?
Probably Slough Feg's plums, at that...

It's also the reason why 2000ad gradually gained an older readership in the early 80s as people started to recognise the quality of the stories.
Pretty sure that the reason 2000AD gradually gained an older readership is because that's when we started leaving childhood and entering adulthood.  The quality of the stories would have been why people didn't stop reading, as they would have with other comics (though plenty of other quality comics - small 'q' - from the eighties died anyway).

Doubt I'll be there before mid-day, sorry, Magnetica.

One more day!

It does seem to have slimmed down a bit - I'll have to have a closer look later and try to work out exactly which stories will be reprinted, and where that leaves the later stories (after Wagner and Grant left).
The page count listed is incorrect. It will be similar to vol. one.
Thanks for the confirmation (and for the good news!)

I just reminded myself how many of the daily strips there were - it's difficult to judge as the first volume had a mix of the weekend and daily strips, but if it continues in the current format (I hope it does, even if the later stories are a bit ropey) it should continue to about five or six volumes.  Let's hope it isn't two years between each one!

There's also a variant Slaine RPG, again Mongoose Publishing, but usuing the Runequest system.
I dimly remembered something about that - a little research suggests that it's largely the same as the D20 version, but with a few bits changed and then repackaged (in low quality B&W, according to the review I read).
