Very chuffed to find this weekend that I still had a copy of Night Dragon at my parent's. That was a real favourite back in the day - properly hard but probably the closest to a full RPG experience that the series ever got. I'm glad I'll get to play it without needing to fork out some 40 notes on Ebay.

I think I have that one - just checked my inventory and assuming it's correct then I do, but then I'm also mossing five of the other later books (which is more than I was expecting).

Quickly checks spreadsheet... and YES Nemesis and Deadlock stands on its own as a stand alone solo story as otherwise you have to make strange choices, like why is it Nemesis not Deadlock or vice versa.

Well, Nemesis is [spoiler]Deadlock[/spoiler] - along with being the deathbringer, lord of the flies, etc.

Much as I love to be a lone voice shouting in the wilderness, Deadlock is just better than Johnny Woo. Even if this is including 'Wizards & Warlocks' + 'The Enigmass Variations'. (Is it? I'm guessing they might get their own slot?)

I'd stand to be corrected, but the Carl Critchlow illustrated stories were under the Nemesis & Deadlock banner, I believe?

Media coverage of something you know inside out does make you wonder just how much of what they hack together is accurate the rest of the time though...

They need to work on their blurb.

These long-lost and fast-paced pulp adventure stories have never been reprinted before, written by Jerry Siegel (Superman) and Donne Avenell (Adam Eterno).

Something like "Jerry Siegel (co-creator, Superman)" might help promote it that little bit more.

Not tried any house rules, but haven't won yet either (not that we've tried for a while, but it's a good game, other than apparently being impossible to win).

Shame we didn't see the 101 Gronks, and it wouldn't be the same with other creators.  Though it could be a good idea for an art competition / bit of fun creativity - each entry has a page, image or short story, each one offing one or more gronks...
