Emperor

Quote from: Dog Deever on 04 December, 2009, 08:48:40 PMthe one that sticks in mind is CRUNCH comic. I remember almost nothing about the comic, but I do remember a Barry Sheen poster free gift and I can remember drawing the CRUNCH logo quite often. It disappeared quite quickly and after some more looking about my mate introduced me to 2000ad. I stuck with that.

I was going to mention THE CRUNCH, as I found a few issues in my box o' early British comics. It was the hardest boys comic around with possibly the warmest letters/problem page (offering sensible advice to serious, if possibly made-up, problems).

It was worth getting for Enrique Alcatena's work on Arena as I loved his work (it also appeared in Starblazer - both largely uncredited but you couldn't miss that style).

Also included Starhawk:

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
