Oh gawd no!!!

Bought it recently and read it again.  Starts well, but the art chores pass from a professional Baikie to two promising amateurs.

It's also largely gibberish and when Baikie left becomes almost incomprehensible.

PLEASE DO NOT REPRINT THIS IN THE MEG!

Sorry Eggs, had to say it!  I wouldn't mind if they did a Graphic Novel release though.

Having said that, it's an interesting enough read, and like the first ezquerra run of Third World War about the only two stories I remember liking much at the time.  But neither stands up very well these days. New Statesmen is a mess and 3WW is the collision of an intersting documentary and interesting story to make an almost unreadable tale.

I'm currently reading the Forever War by Joe Haldeman (1974) and I can definitely see traces of 3WW and Halo Jones in it.

Plus the collected versions appear on ebay fairly frequently. As do early Crises :o) You could easily get them for the price of a meg or 2.
