Following on from the new Foundry minatures thread, can anyone let me know the following colours i should be using?

Judge Omar's skin-tone

Well, wasn't Omar of the Asian persuasion?

Just look at anyone Indian, Pakistani, or similar and try to match the skin tone.

It's worth noting that such races have huge variations in skin tone - my wife is quite "gora," or white, for example - so you can get away with just about anything.

Just don't give him bright red lipstick, like poor Dounreay...

Just had second thoughts.

Is Omar simply a reference to Omar Sharif?

If so, a quick Google will get you a pic of him.

I suppose Judge Omar was supposed to be somewhat Arabic.

Hi Max,
I think that its been more or less covered in this thread, but for Omars skin tones I would simply use normal flesh tone with a small amount of either dark brown or chestnut brown mixed in as Asian flesh isnt that dark just a richer colour.

The norts uniforms look best in a grey colour scheme, while the southers are better painted in drab greens or kahkis.

As soon as I get my hands on the figures I will be writting up a full painting guide in a similar way to the one I did for the first lot of Foundry figures (link below)

Hope this helps,

Thanks Chop - and ta for the advice. I figured the Southers are the Allies with the Norts as the Nazi's so i'm painting them accordingly.
I found a suitable match for Omar's skintone in Games Workshop called "Graveyard Earth" of all things but it works.
Nice pic of your Dredd - but your one is the same as mine - the mouth area keeps reminding me of Les Dawson as Cosmo Smallpiece...
