Classic comic or classic writer?

I'm wondering what you'd rather see: a classic story from the 1970s archives (in the same way that Strip will be doing with Hook Jaw or the Meg did with Charley's War) or a new story from a well-known writer from that period? (can't promise either but your views are valued).

Almost impossible to choose 'cos some new is always exciting BUT I went for classic strip as there's so much stuff out there I worry I'll never get around to seeing and since they're out there teasing me already I'd like to reel one in.
