Well if you like this kind of thing, then why not go for the precursors to Dragon Age?

Baldur's Gate was the first (and has recently been remade)
Baldur's Gate 2 is the definitive computer RPG.
Neverwinter Nights was fun (but I recall you played that?)
Neverwinter Nights 2 is more of the same. I'm about to start it myself.

Also

Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel The Sith Lords are aces.

All are by Bioware, except NWN 2 and The Sith Lords which were made with its input.

If you want something more open (ie less linear/scripted) Skyrim is excellent.

Thanks for that. I know Adrian has Balders gate in his old game collection... but for some reason he wasn't that keen on me playing it....

Never compleated the 2nd Neverwinter nights... that game was on the stolen laptop.
