They're littlw prepainted plastic figures about the same size as citadel and games workshop miniatures.
The tooth ones sre worth so much at the moment because they're previews, they'll be coming out proper as part of the Indie Heroclix range, which is a bunch of smaller companies including dark Horse and Crossgen contributing a few characters each.
I'd wait for the relaese if I was you...

Yerah, a bought a few marvel and dc ones in advance to try and see what the game was like, get a few people I'd heard of for dredd to crush, and I suddenyl realised that I didn't know who most of these people were.  Probably worse with indiclix!

It's an okay game, easy to pick up.  Figures are largely good, with the odd duffer and the paintwork varies, but you can always touch them up (no puns punsters pullease).

Anyway, does anyone know when they are out?

Hi Devons Daddy,
Heroclix is one of the fastest selling table-top games of last year, and looks set to become even bigger this year. The games (Heroclix, Mechwarrior, Mage Knight) all share a similar games mechanics that is really simple to learn (around 5 mins) and can be really addictive and costly!

The game uses a very simple system with all the things you need to know being on the base of the figure and on a quick reference sheet, and once your familiar with the powers and abbilties the sheet is only there as a reminder.

I wont go into too much detail here, but there is a review of the basic game on Dredd Times that you can check out, which more or less explains the full rules of the game. The miniatures are all pre-painted ideal for those who are not that skilled with a paint brush or just dont have much time to sit down and paint, and unlike games from other miniatures companies, Heroclix is a tradeable game allowing you to swap and trade with fellow collectors in your area and of course via the internet.

On another note WizKids have just announced that they are to produce the worlds first action figure game Shadowrun:Duels, based around one of the best selling roleplaying games of the 90's. The figures are amazing with 17 points of articulation (ie moving the hands, arms, head, etc) and come with a load of accessories. One to watch out for.

Anyway check out the link for the review and go to the news page(http:www.dreddtimes.com/news ) for the information on Shadowrun.
Hope this helps

thankyou all.
i shall keep an eye for this then.sounds interesting.
the problem out here is the call for indoor based hobbies is negliable.plenty of nice sunshine days.
as such this genre offers limited appeal to the mass populace.
sadly.
