I very dislike Detonator X. Mayflies had a crackin opener, although I was already a bit lost with episode 2. Hats off to Enigmatic Dr X, whose vegan joke is better than either of these thrills! Guess I'm voting Mayflies!

Mayflies - I can't remember much about Detonator X and whenever I think of it I just end up thinking of Maniac 5.  Do this in about six years time once I've finished my prog slog (which also involves prog-adjacent things) and I might vote another way...

Well this one is all about potential. One story had such potential, its concept was exciting and seemed right at hoe in the Prog,
heck it had a top tier creative team, with superb art BUT... it just didn't live up to that possiblity. The other is new, very new and the shortest possible episode count to qualify for this tourney, so it still all about the potential. The key difference is for

Mayflies

That potential can still be realised were as with Detonator X it was inexplicably scundered. As for the new form thrill gets into Round 2.
