I realise there are people out there who for different reasons don't read the Megazine. But I strongly suggest you check out the latest issue if you can. Flick through it in W.H.Smugs and prepare to be amazed.

Chris Weston's art on Dredd is fantastic. Better than 'Killing Time'. And the story is one that is going to be remembered for a long time to come.

The rest of the stories are very strong indeed and there's an impressive line-up of talent. John Wagner, Pat Mills, Alan Grant, Gordon Rennie, Si Spurrier, Chris Weston, Arthur Ransom, Simon Davis, Carlos Ezquerra, and Frazer Irving. That's not a line up of creative Droids, that's practically a super group.

4 stories start this issue and start well. Go on, you know you want to...

Is this a good jumping on point?  Are the stories starting up...?

Dan, having dumped the Meg when it started reprints...

it is for the newly commissioned stories, although helltreckers and charley's war have been running for some months already

Charleyz War gets better with each issue, so I have to retract a lot (and I mean A LOT) of earlier criticism - it's worthy of its place.  Helltrekkers is just filler, but still fun.

As for the non-reprint strips, they're currently of such quality that even if one of them were removed and replaced with Chronos Carnival reprints, I'd still think the package worth my money.

Oddboy

This has been the best Megazine so far this volume.

Really folks, you need to get this comic.
Better set your phaser to stun.

Mr C

This is, in fact, the best it's ever been. Go get it kids, even if it's just for PJ.

Devons Daddy

I'd say this is the best the Meg has been in this incarnation.
Mr Barnes, with this line-up you are spoiling us !

I demand you insert some dross strips to reduce the volume of my scanning archiving work...

Right,

Thats another one on the shopping list for today...

Hmmm, looking through the archives I'm not sure where I stopped.  I certainly gave up when they started to do the reprints, but also have America pt II... At a guess it was when Preacher was reprinted.

What have I missed that is worth chasing up?

Dan Kelly

Right, got this at lunch and read "Six".  Having read the Extreme Edition that was out about Dreddcon time, I got the suprise pretty early on.

Looks good.   Need to look at the rest of the issue before I decide whether the balance is right for me.  As long as they keep the reprints to stuff I don't have already I may stick around...
