Spaced limited edition

According to Amazon there's going to be a three disc definitive collection of Spaced series one and two.

Obviously ripping the mickey out of the Star Wars collection that's coming along - it is due for release the week after on the 27 September.

Is this to cash in on Shaun of the Dead's success? I'm actually slightly disappointed as I already own the original two packed discs.

Anyone else feel strangely betrayed at the cashing in?

Argh! I do feel a bit cheated by that but me being the sad fan that I am I'll definately be buying it, suppose I can sell off my old ones or something. Should be good, the extras on the spaced dvds were always really good so it's bound to be entertaining,heard shaun of the dead is gonna be full of special features too.

Nah, I don't mind them cashing in at all. If it was me, I'd do the same! And I gave away my series one recently to someone on the board because it was just as cheap to buy the boxset as series 2 on it's own. I'll wait fer this now!

Ah that'll be why I was able to get the original series 1 and 2 boxset for ?6.49 a couple of months back.

I dunno... seems a bit of a cheek after slagging Lucas so much...
Though, I was watching series 2 last night again, and it is very funny. So if you haven't already bought them, this would be nice.

Psh! Lucas releases his movies, re-releases them, sets himself up for at least 2 more releases plus makes three new film he does similar crap with.

They do a special edition boxset....

Hmmmm... sadly, I do feel ripped off.  If I could buy the extra disc for a fiver I wouldn't object.

I'm starting to tire of the way better DVD's always eventually come out.  It's pretty much killed any instant DVD buying, I usually wait 6-months to a year, at least, and no longer bother getting newer versions of DVD's.

And quite frankly, I barely watch most of the extras that come on DVDs anyway, certainly not more than once.
Feature-length commentaries and the like? - can't be arsed!

There's some good extra stuff on the Spaced DVDs already, don't feel that I need more though.

Just wondering why you guys feel ripped off? It's not like they're forcing anyone to buy it. No one feels ripped off when books come back into print with a different cover and a 'new forward by the author', and this is obviously the way that DVDs are going.
