Loads of interesting stuff in this interview, so take a look. I'll leave you with this gorgeous image (and keep an eye out for a rather nice collection cover featuring a certain stogie-smoking star of 2000AD...)

That was always one of my favourite Meg covers.
Better set your phaser to stun.

Slippery PD

Anyone want to guess at Jamies favourite series, he hints at in the interview????

A very interesting interview.  If I didn't know what Sinister Dexter was, I'd be really intrigued by Dan Abnett's selling of it.  Shame that Robo-Hunter cover image link doesn't work though.

But hey!  A complete episode of Sinister Dexter!  Neat!

IndigoPrime

Well, all of the main ones are covered, and it's sure as hell not going to be Zenith, so who knows? Here's hoping Jamie likes Revere or Firekind...

No idea what newsarama is, and I can't see a link.  Anyone?

Grant Goggans

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be 13, but I'm not sure why.

A complete Revere would be *wonderful*, but as Firekind is only about 78 pages in total, I'd think that's a more likely candidate for an Extreme Edition.  (Only nobody suggest Barnes & co. back it up with the four Tharg's Dragon Tales...)

Paul - Newsarama is a comic news site, and you should see the link just above the Shimura cover image.

If you still can't see it, just type www.newsarama.com into your browser address bar. The Rebellion story will be at the top of the Newsarama home page right now.

It's an exciting list (especially for folks in the US like myself who never really had a chance to read these before now).  I guess Jamie may be the only one who can answer this, but any ideas whether the new editions of (for example) Rogue Trooper: Future of War or ABC Warriors: Meknificent Seven will have the same contents as the recent Titan editions?  With 2000AD's spotty US availability in the past, I'm always hungry for whatever reprint material I can get my hands on, but not if it means buying the exact same book twice...

But please please please!!! can we have them in the 2000ad shop? Bit mad when all these new things come out and we've still got Banzai Batallion down as preorder.
Some of the Blackflame ones are up there though which is good.
But I didn't know The Batman/Judge Dredd Files was out, I heard someone on here say something about Asylum and Bison GN's?
Where are they then? What is going on???
I want to buy these GN's but if I don't know if they actually exist and where to get them how am I supposed to?

The Amstor Computer

Opaque:

Bison, Wardog & Atavar are the three new Rebellion TPBs. I don't know if they're out in stores yet, but I do know they were being given as prizes at the Moniave comics fest last weekend.

The Batman/Dredd Files should be out this week, and the first Sinister Dexter collection is due sometime in the next fortnight.

I'd definitely agree on the lack of visibility, though. Jamie & Co. are doing a great job with the design, choice of material & internet publicity, but the near-total silence about these trades in 2000AD is infuriating, as is their absence from the online shop.

The Amstor Computer

For example:

Why, since the Batman/Dredd files is out now, doesn't the current 2000AD have a full-page ad for book, as well as a run-down of future releases?

Why not use some space in the Meg to promote these new titles - cover images, preview pages, interviews etc.

I'm going to be buying these titles, but I'm a fan who keeps an eye out for new releases. What about the casual reader who only has any contact with comics through the pages of 2000AD? They need to have this stuff put in front of them every week, not just mentioned once in the Nerve Centre!

JamieB

"Why, since the Batman/Dredd files is out now, doesn't the current 2000AD have a full-page ad for book, as well as a run-down of future releases?"

Because it's more useful to use ad space for, y'know, paying customers...

"Why not use some space in the Meg to promote these new titles - cover images, preview pages, interviews etc. "

May yet happen.
