as a loyal & ever loving obbsessive cover to cover reader  who reads the subs word for word, chronologically every week.... including Thargs missive first & formost... i never have a clue whats going on either, cos i instantly forget what ever it is he's going on about...i think the thrills from the next page must leak & confuse me, or he needs his announcments on a bulleted list with pretty pictures to by-pass those of us with the concentration spans of gnats.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm in full agreement with The Rev here, the official site does seem to be the last place to find out important and exciting news.

I have LOADS of respect for Wake and think he does a great job in the main but it is getting really frustrating reading everything elsewhere.

i want to say in defence.
merchandise. over the last year its improved hugely.i was a big detractor on this very subject.

as for news. i have to agree,seems strange we hear last, but good argument was given in such a thread about 2 years ago.it had a lot to do with meerchandise license agreements and exclusive marketing.
please dont go and find that thread. My greastest regret on this site, was my attitude towards others contained within it.

Wake, to be fair to him, has made it clear he has neither the time nor the resources to make it one.

The board members themselves provide the news service, via links to other sites.

However, I do agree that Tharg could be providing more "Press releases" here, given the facility to do so does exist.

Perhaps one on the Dreddcon guest list soon? :-)

But it *is* the Official 2000AD website - and so people will expect it to have the most up to date info here - I'm not talking about us regular board members, but the casual surfer who wants to know what's new in the 2000AD world.

To clarify, I don't have the time or inclination to scour the Internet for 2000AD news or write press releases. I too wish that Rebellion could be more forthcoming with press releases.
