Brett Ewins has a new book out, where he illustrates new stories by Peter Milligan, Alan Grant, Alan McKenzie and others. The book is published by Cyberosia but I can't see anywhere to get it online in the UK. It should be available from Diamond (order code JUN04 2395)

Cyberosia have also published a Johnny Nemo graphic novel (Diamond Order Code: SEP02 2026)

I could see about trying to get several copies of each of these books direct from the publisher, if there is enough interest.

Aparrently Brett Ewins had some kind of breakdown after finishing Skreemer, and has been unable to meet a deadline or even start anything since them, which is why we?ve seen only the occasional sub par piece from him like Return Of The Seven and the Bad Company sequel. He drew these stories as a way of breaking out of that, and if he;s managed to get back on form it?s really going to be wroth picking up.

Cor, that looks ace. Scott Brown, who publishes Cyberosia, is doing a bang-up job on these; the JOHNNY NEMO book is lovely and highly, highly recommended.

Sounds good Wake. What's the price tag?

M.
To tell the truth, you can all get screwed.

Wake

Johny Nemo is $12.95 for 88 pages
The Dark Gate is $9.95 for 64 pages

Postage from the USA would be extra. I'd have to check with their online store, because I don't think it's calculating shipping to the UK correctly.

Mr C

Good looking stuff, might have to bag a copy of those.

Looks good. For whatever reason Ewins' stuff has, sadly, never been the same since his Anderson and Bad Company work. Although roundly criticised for his early work, his Anderson stuff was what hooked me on 2000ad and will always be the stuff that really stunned me when I first saw it. It's utterly irrelevant, but it's Ewins' skill and craftmanship on those stories that made me want to draw comic books.
+++ implementing rigid format protocols +++ meander mode engaged +++

Cool! and new Johnny Nemo!
Great to see Ewins back

Woolly

Ive got high hopes for this. When Brett Ewins is on form, his work is stunning.

Smiley

The Hunger Artists seems pre-2000AD so it can't be entirely new stuff.

Wake

I've been in contact with the publishers and I'm going to import some copies at trade prices. So I can work out how many copies I should get, please let me know if you would be interested in Johnny Nemo at ?9.75 and/or Dark Gate at ?7 including UK postage.
