Rob Cox commissioned the following Dolman/Dredd artwork from Vehit Ismail of Straight Edge Art and wanted to display it on the site. I've put the finished product into the fan art area, but here are the prelim stages.

Bolt-01

Don't want to be picky, but the gun looks wrong. His centre of gravity would mean it should be held closer and he would need to support it with his other hand too.

And when did Dredd catch the creeping bubos?

Nice composition and style though.

Bolt-01

Generally Contrary

It's a future gun, Dave, with a self correcting gyro.

Oddboy

Bolt - he's only a baby judge. They don't let them have real guns, that one's obviously polystyrene.
Better set your phaser to stun.

Bolt-01

Actually it looks like the gun Pulger used to scare the snufflegruffs!

I don't like to diss other people's stuff (unless it's Mulcher, of course)- but I don't like it very much.

Sorry.

Dunk!

The figure's good but i do have a problem with Dredd's skin condition? and the colour's all the same saturation/tone so it's hard to pick out Dolman.

That said I kinda like it.

Nice eagle.
"Trust we"

House of Usher

Funny - the eagle was the first thing that drew my eye as looking 'wrong'. But, like the anatomically weird cover art for Megazine 225, it's better than anything I could hope to draw.
STRIKE !!!

Conexus

In my eyes the black and white version looks much better

Oddboy

I thought so to Conexus - not too fond of the colouring here, but the drawing work is good.

opaque

Yeah the black and white looks better, Dredd's face is a bit odd and I hate to say it but Dredds lips look more like another type of lips that Dredd would get nowhere near ;)
Not bad though, the question is how much did it cost!
