I've killfiled Worlds Apart actually due to the staff being a bunch of tossers.

Sorry, not killfiling you or ignoring you - honest! I just wanted to post a suggestion for an online option for anyone who was interested.

Logan -

Cheers for that. Contacting Dom direct is probably more constructive than moaning about it here, but sometimes... ;-)

"I've killfiled Worlds Apart actually due to the staff being a bunch of tossers."

HEY! I used to be one of those tossers...
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

Sorry Noisybast, I've never killfiled anyone, partly because I would feel too guilty, and partly because I've not got a clue as to how to do such things.

Didn't read your message before as i was a t work, and I just tend to quickly skim-read threads when I'm busy.

Anyway, good news is that I managed to pick up both Swimming in Blood and Red Razors today, as well as Dave Gibbons' The Originals, which I'm off to read right now!

DavidXBrunt

Sorry Noisybast. You were a tosser, you aren't anymore. Anyway it was some stupid woman that worked there that really pissed me off.

Noisybast

That'll be Sashya, then...

It wasn't the one with the long black hair. Got into an arguement with the woman, later tried to apologise and she just threw it back into my face. Won't accept my apology? Don't accept my money then.

I'm not sure that picking up Red Razors can ever be classed as good news, Byron! :)

Let me know what you think of The originals though - there's been no talk of it here, but I like the idea of it - just waiting to be convinced....

Hey, I quite like Red Razors! That and Cannon Fodder were the only decent things Millar wrote for the comic, apart from a few five page one-offs.

By the way, Watcher, I can heartily reccomend The Originals: it's all monochrome, very much like a weirdly futurist alternate Quadrophenia, and what's more it's a lovely hardback, and an unusual more European (and British) size book. Plus it's Dave Gibbons: what more do you want?

DavidXBrunt

Just some woman in dark clothes brown hair. I was a good 5 or 6 feet away, in a hurry for a train, browsing other books. I called over a question and she went off on one about not wanting to be towered over. I assume she's had some problems in her past but I don't give a shit. I politely asked a question. You don't lose it with a customer over something like that.

Noisybast

Blimey.

Must have a word...

Got Devlin from Comics Showcase on Thursday - nicely done.

Didn't get Razors - I really liked the first story, but the second story sucked so much that it gives the collection a -ve score IMO...
Better set your phaser to stun.

I picked up Devlin Waugh and Red Razors this weekend.  I was a little disappointed in the last of supplements and background stuff in Red Razors, but if it kept the cost down to keep it at exactly 144 pages for $13, I suppose it was worth it.

The Devlin Waugh book is just superb.  I hadn't read A Mouthful of Dust before (US distribution problems for the Meg at that time), and the whole package just feels like a quality product.

I passed on Judgement Day, as I already have the Hamlyn edition, don't like the new cover, and didn't feel the addition of "The Kinda Dead Man" was enough to sell me on buying it again.  But my pal Don did buy it Friday evening when we met to play Heroclix.

Also, Diamond shipped me two copies of prog 1410 and no copies of 1409.  Bastards.

Kinda Dead Man's in it? Nice.
I've got all bar one page of that artwork.
Makes it worthwhile buying collections of stuff you've already got when theres something else added in.
