Me and my housemates are thinking of making some short films based around occult, supernatural and generally Fortean goings-on in Leeds.

I've borrowed me pa's video camera and now I need to figure out how to turn our footage into short film gold!

Can anyone recommend some decent - but above all cheap - video editing software that will allow us to create these occult masterpieces? Obviously I'm not looking to turn my home PC into a AVID suite or owt, but just summat I can use to create some nice, sharp editing ...

Aah kewl, is Moviemaker any good? I assume if I haven't got it on XP then I can download it from Microsoft?
