I've got a bit of a moral dilemma.

I won an eBay auction for 20 back progs. Cost me a tenner. ?4 for the progs, and a fairly steep ?6 for P&P.

Now the problem is this: About half of the progs are in pretty crap condition. One's got a 6-7 x 2 inch strip torn off the back page. Others have large tears in the cover. Some have badly crumpled covers.

As the progs were listed as "in reasonable condition", do I complain to the seller, leave neutral/negative feedback, or just cut my losses and keep the ones that actually were in reasonable condition?

I'm not sure if it's worth the aggro & hassle for the sake of a tenner...?

Thoughts?

Not being a big eBay person, I nonetheless would consider 'reasonable' to not include tears, rips, bits missing or severe damage ... plus, he says "ONE FOR THE COLLECTORS" which suggests they'd be in decent condition.

rea?son?a?ble
* Capable of reasoning; rational: a reasonable person.
* Governed by or being in accordance with reason or sound thinking: a reasonable solution to the problem.
* Being within the bounds of common sense: arrive home at a reasonable hour.
* Not excessive or extreme; fair: reasonable prices.

That's not a reasonable condition in my opinion.  Email the seller maybe and amicably state you are not happy, and see what response you get.  At least it gives them chance to sort it out first.

Reasonable condition is not a valid comic grade, and to me implies pretty crap anyway.

I think you should leave no feedback at all, since you are unhappy by the seller didn't do anything wrong.

Here is the bottom end of the comic grading scale.

G Good
A complete & intact, but more heavily soiled copy, with multiple defects. Permissable defects: bad creases; rusty staples; small pieces may be missing; interior pages may be tanned but not brittle.

FR Fair
Worn copy with heavy multiple defects and small to moderate pieces missing. May have dry (brittle) paper at edges.

PR Poor
Very worn with possibly missing page or pages / panels.May have low paper quality - usually brittle interior paper / covers.

If the comics are in Fair/Good condition rather than poor then a decription of reasonable could apply.
