The larger one seems more painterly just going by the monster's teeth. But spotting the difference, along with the whole modern versus traditional thing which incidentally has gone on since the bleedin' Ark, from computers back to airbrushes back to camera-obscura and so on, is all beside the point.

Especially in this case where it matters even less since the actual image is so slick it wouldn't matter which medium it was conceived in. (On a subjective note can I just say that image is fantasy wank poster-art of the worst kind, the sort that wants to be misogynistic and twee at the same time. Brrr!)

Anyhoo, kinda back on topic, what makes good comic art... imagination and ability combined with sensibility. Without all three of those it doesn't matter which medium the comic's in or it's subject matter.
