Prog 1421 - Non-subbers and latecomers review thread

Way, way late with this (cough, wheeze), but one last thought on reading 1421...

Wouldn't 2nd City Blues work much better with bright and shiny Brashill art?  

I have a lot of respect for Pleece's work in general, and i think it works fine here for the non-game bits, but in the actual slamboard scenes it's just hard to feel that there's any flair or pace in this future sport at all - and even the 'Mean Arena' style Ghoul-team just looked well ... dreary.  I'm all for grim and gritty futures, but just plain dull... nah.  

That said, I'm enjoying this tale a lot more than I expected to, I just feel that the art deflates what should be the exciting bits more than a little.
