WHATS BEEN HAPPENING IN JUDGE DREDD FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS THE LAST DREDD STORY I READ WAS JUDGEMENT DAY!!!
WHO IS THE CURRENT CHEIF JUDGE? HAVE ANY OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS DIED ? (MAGRUDER,ANDERSON,HERSHEY ETC)HAVE THERE BEEN ANY MORE MEGA EPICS SINCE JUDGEMENT DAY I WOULD BE GRATEFULL IF ANY ONE CAN UPDATE ME

MacGruder - Took long walk came back.  Implemented Mechanismo (kinda epic - robot judges) Dredd felt her judgement was flawed.  Later found out she had Alzhemers, Dredd took her into cursed earth for one last hurrah.
Anderson - Lots of things too numerous too mention.  Been in lots of comas, currently feeling her age in the Megazine in a new renaisance.....
Hershey - latest chief judge has been for a long while.

Welcome to the board!
  The current Chief Judge is Hershey. Anderson is alive but comatose.
 there have been quite a few epics; The Pit was a brilliant, long epic, with Dredd serving as sector chief in a run down area, smartening up its` rundown judges.
 There has been a new robot war, this time led by the Frendz crime syndicate.
  I think that`s it, epic-wise, although if you count any long story as an `epic` there are more.

the characters section of this site is very useful for seeing who`s who.

Also interesting to note that there is now another Judge Rico out on the streets another clone and very very like Dredd. Read the Bloodline stories for the full lowdoen on that(apparently another 6 or 7 clones coming through the acadamy), another one left recently to become a space judge or some such. Vienna JD's neice has also made a return recently to add more depth to the Dredd family. all these stories featuring the Blood line could be classed as an epic in themselves except they've been building over several years instead of one 18 week run, Wagner is definatly leading somewhere with it all we just dont know where yet but its fun waiting.
The second Robot War was the Doomsday Epic and it wasn't too bad but none absolutly none beatThe Pit for my choice of No1 epic that you've missed, all I'll say is who would of thought Dredd behind a desk could be so interesting.
Welcome back to the fold you should really hunt down some back issues because you missed some cracker stories not just Dredd ones either.

In regards to Judge Rico I was away for a while when he was introduced and have a small gap in my back issues so could someone give me a quick refresher on how the new Rico came in to Dredd stories. I take it that he's one of the clones from the Dredd Angel story? So did John Wagner have an idea for the clones use all those years ago?

Yes he's the Texas City clone.  Asked to come back after Necropolis (I think)....

As to wether Wagner had planned that, Im not entirely sure.....
