AAAARRRGGH!
In a fit of doubledumbassness I decided to delete my current version of Kazza an get version 3.
STOOPIDLY I deleted my original version and when I try and download the newer version it says "an error has be encountered" just as it starts to download the new software. Anybody got any ideas???
I wouldn't bother the board with this but I don't hang round any Techie boards!
Or maybe theres a better place to get my dirty fix of downloaded "free" music?
HELP!

There's Winmx.  I haven't used it in ages as a show of solidarity with the starving executives of the music companies.  And Bittorrent is miles better.

Noisybast

KaZaa's not the network it once was.
If you want a virus, it's great, but there's never anything new up there any more.

I hear good things about Bittorrent, but I've not got round to actually trying it...
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

You can always try Shareaza - It's a lot more polished in my opinion. and gets better results.

nononononoonono.

use eMule. No viruses, no hassle. Highly recommended. Loads of .cbr files (eComics) too.

To be fair, all the P2P networks have viruses littered about. The Torrent networks are generally the cleanest on that count, especially from the larger sites.

Get yourself a copy of Azureus and pillage these sites... http://www.vip-torrents.com http://www.torrentreactor.net http://www.kerrazy-torrents.com/ and http://www.lokitorrent.com

You might have to signup for a couple of those, it doesn't incur the wrath of the spam-god so don't worry about it.

Avoid Kazaa at all costs unless you're using Kazaa Lite, but by all accounts that network is half dead anyway.

Thanks everyone, looks like bit-torrents the way for me then. I'll let you know what happens.

I think the law are on to torrent sites. Loki has just had a court order to stop operating. So it looks like its back to kazaar & limeware!!
