ok, so its not film or TV but god damn is this one hot game, anyone else ouit there played it...opinions?
For the record I'm not a resident evil fan(could never stand the controls) but some how they've made this damn clunky controlling beast play like a dream, and the graphics jeez me best mates PC would have a hard time running this thing even with its $800 256MB video card, itll be interesting to see how this one turns out on the PS2(they reckon its coming but I cant see it looking half this good). I know I'm just raving here but shit, all thiose Halo threads and no ones even mentioned this beast.
Oh god the Quick Time events :) :) :) actually make you want to watch the FMV......
I'll not spoil any of the plot for people here but lets just say its not Zombies and 1000 times better than lame old resi 3.
Just remember people those are REAL TIME graphics used there none of that cheaty pre-rendered shit.
Oh and there's even hand to hand combat in it plus the welcome return of explody heads :)
You must all get this game, you wont be dissapointed
if you dont have a Game Cube get one just for this game its worth it.

I love my nintendo gamecube (and this is no joke) I actually play it a lot more than my playstation 2

I've been thinking of setting up my old SNES in the spare room, after rediscovering a box of old console crap the other week.

Super Mario Kart... that's the stuff!

You can get Snes and Megadrive emulators for the Xbox, though, so it might actually be good for something other than Halo.

I'm playing RE4 at the minute, and the quicktime stuff is a bit annoying, actually - you have to push two buttons at exactly the same time, and they're chosen randomly - WTF?
The button-bashing stuff with the boulder and the giant croc is fantastic, though - I usually play games laying across my sofa at a near-90-degree angle, but seeing the big leathery bastard coming for me while I'm hammering away trying to make the flop-haired ponce swim faster is great fun, and actually got me to sit up straight.
Resident Evil Zero is recommended too, as is the remake of Resident Evil 1.  And Star Wars: Rebel Strike has to be one of the best-looking games ever made, and great crack while it lasts.

Isn't Game selling Gamecubes with any two games for 58 quid?

WoD

Toys R Us have this on their website, 59.99 for console with Donkey Konga (and a Harry Potter game - sorry).

Donkey Konga is ace! Plus, you can also get the great Jungle Beat (a platform game controlled by bongos shouldn't work, but it does) and Donkey Konga 2 is due for release fairly soon. I believe there's quite a lot of interest in the bongos as a peripheral from other companies, so they may not be one-hit (*groan*) wonder they might have been...

Resi 4, is the bees knees. I actually bought a gamecube soley to play the, then exclusive, Resident evil games, and i havn't been dissapointed. Nintendo (and capcom) make some of the finest games in the world. It's a shame that the cube is performing so poorly in the U.K. But those with the sense to own one, luv em!

Never managed to get past the evil bastard in Resident Evil: Nemesis.

I was really miffed that Metroid Prime 2 was 60Hz only. My GC has thus been gathering dust since the first Metroid Prime, but RE4 is on the shopping list.

Carlsborg Expert.

Devil May Cry 3 aswell.

I picked it up on the release date and then had to fight my wife and son for the controler!
It really is the best Resi game to date.
It looks fantastic, the controls are slick and the story makes sense (for once).
The best thing about it is the solid voice acting (well above that in Metal Gear3).
It has superb replay value too, with two mini-games that you unlock after completing the main game.
The best of it is that it ONLY ties itself properly to the main series (and the direction the series will go with No. 5) in a line of dialogue from a character at the END of the Assignment Ada mini-game!
I was so pleased with it that I almost forgot about those horror films they made from the series...
