Dredd Silk flag poster thingy

I just bought this on impulse on eBay

I have no idea why I bought it - it just cried out to me. But anyways, anyone have any idea where these things came from? Was it publicity around the movie or what?

Most of his stuff seems to be metal signs, actually. The only other thing I can see like this Dredd thingy is this Tank Girl one:

I have that flag poster thingy.  Don't quite know where it came from, it was given to me in a lot with a load of backprogs, but yeah, its dated about '95-96.

I bought one of them of someone on Ebay a couple of years ago. Really good choice of Dredd isn't it but am at a loss as what to actually do with it!

i intend to get it framed up at some point.
i have several pieces i intend to get framed.
or already have done so. but not hung on the walls yet.

Any idea where it comes from, though? It's not arrived yet (obviously - I only just won the auction), but it looks like Bolland Dredd from the picture.

I was thinking of hanging it down the side of the wardrobe in the spare room. It would *just* fit there.

But was it a movie-related promotion? Was it done by IPC/Fleetway/Maxwell/Whoever owned 2000AD at that time?

My guess, from the similar items, would be that if it was part of some promotion it was some more general comics based affair.

Hes got an Eric Clapton one and a Guns N Roses one as well.

Its a Cliff Robinson Dredd with Bolland pages from I think Block Mania in the background (fight with Orlok).  Its quite nice.
