If whoever it was that was compiling 2000ad swearwords is still looking for them, I've just remembered the shittest swearword 2000ad ever used. It was in a really dodgy story in the early 90's , called Trash, I think, and it was this: 'Blip'. As in 'Get the blip outta here', or 'blippin' hell'.
If anyone remembers a less convincing swearword in 2000ad, I'll award them a fish and a packet of clothespegs.

nemesis

im sure such glittering prizes will have us all rushing to the back catalouge!

malkymac

Stomm! is one you never see anymore. I remember a really crap future shock where the character kept saying things like "jog me!" or "Well I'll be a jogging dutchman!".

Jesus wept, that's bad. I think the prizes have to go to you, and I think I'll even throw in a bonus prize of a bucket of onion netting.
'You killed my brother, you mother jogger! Jog you! You jog! YOU JOGGIN' JOG!'

Wood

In fact, wasn't the whole twist in that FS predicated around the fact that the guy used 'Jog' and 'jogging' as an expletive?

Jayzus B. Christ

I'm fascinated now. Tell me more, because I think I missed that one.

JimBob

Shut your jogging mouth uncle jogger.

malkymac

Yeah. The guys for some reason lost all memory of who they were nad ended up going for a run because the word 'jog' was used and they were all stripped to their shorts. I think..

Trout

Absolutely right, Mac.

They all had their minds wiped by time-travelling criminals.

And yes, jog and blip were very, very bad.

I still have a soft spot for "snut" (early Robohunter) as the very worst ever.

Mind you, inclusion in Trash will get extra points for "blip."

Hang on. Being too young to remember early Robohunter, did John Wagner invent the word 'snut'? I thought it was Mark Millar. You'd expect it from him. I'm very, very disappointed, do you hear me?

The Love Doctor

I think "Truck" was probably a bit of jog. Joggin' load of jogs bollocks that was.

doc the confused

O Lucky Stevie!

i've got a bit of a soft spot for "slushpop!" from bad company (& no, i don't speak krool, but just look at the context it's used in).

i've wet my knickers!
