superman returns teaser trailer

I want to give this movie a chance, but the more I read about it, the more I dread it'll just be a reinvention along the lines of Spiderman Unlimited - someone saw a successful franchise reinvention (Batman Beyond) and did the same with their property without actually thinking it through.
I don't think anyone expects a reinvention of the wheel with the next Superman movie (the producers agree, what with Marlon Brando and the 1978 theme being in there), so why they've changed so much of a character whose main draw is that he - and by extension, his world - are so recogniseable, is beyond me.
At what point does 'updating the franchise' end and 'annoying the fans' begin?

yeah dude loads o good squishy and behind the scenes stuff,loved the "new" uniform and the fact that that supes is played by an unknown,directed by bryan singer excellente as el zilcho would say,cant wait!!!!!!!
