The ethics of this licensning does seem quite questionable, but is that just because we look at the comics as things for kids.

As the readership of the Tooth shows, this isn't exactly the case.

I do not find this line of merchandising questionable. I find it abhorrent. In the UK, most things are extortionate to purchase anyway, but to use a comic license in order to extort money from us (Joe Public) because it features our favourite comic character just cheapens the character and leads the publishing house down the rocky road to ruin. For most of us, money is not the object, but if the character is mucked about, then it is more likely to lose fans than gain them.

Plus, I really don't like slot machines as my brother (A Casino Manager) has briefed me on the odds and it is never that great for the punter.
