Am I right in thinking this is a 6 part series? If so, I can't see how the story could possibly be wrapped up in one more episode. Does anyone know if it's paving the way for a bigger story arc? Lets hope so. I'd hate to see it end with Dredd riding in and saving the day in his usual fashion. Lets hope Death gets away to cast his shadow over Mega City another day!!!!

Oddboy

Yeh, but I hope it doesn't just end next week with Death grabbing his coat & hat & running out the door, as the assembled judges scratch thier heads or scratch thier arses and go "He's been here recently!  We've just missed him!  O well, who knows where he'll turn up next! [cue Batman]" like at the end of Boyhood of a Superfiend.
Better set your phaser to stun.

Six parts? Thats a bit disapointing. Is there some kind of rule these days that if Frazer Irving works on a story it must be annoyingly short?

Don't worry Matt, you can always read my Death screenplay instead.

"All ssshall know of pain and sssuffering but it will be the most majestic blissss."

Judge Death, Mega City One 2124.

Dear Arthur,

I believe the rule of six parts for Frazer Irving series is a reason of health. With art so good there is the danger of thrill power overload!

Or perhaps they've had problems in the past with artists who have spent too long drawing Judge Death.  I heard Brett ewins still eats raw meat and Brian Bollan isn't allowed out after dark.

Dear scojo,

do you mean to say "majessstic bliss"?

You should read the Judge Death story on this website by Paulvonscott. He has truly understood the character of the Dark Judge

You know, I have heard rumours from a pretty reliable source that Ewins had actually suffered some kind of mental breakdown, and thats why his artwork isn't what it used to be.

Oh no, here we go splitting hairs time!:)

Just for the record, my Possession screenplay has Death hissing at the beginning and end of a word. So if Sidney says the words "majestic bliss"

he doesn't say "majessstic blisss"

but "majestic blisss."

Just for the record you are wrong. You missed of the extra ss from bliss. Should be blissss.

The reason is I couldn't be arsssed, I mean arsed to add s to every s.

If you follow.

No I don't either.

Dear scojo,

OK I made a very pedant comment. Pardon me, I was too excited after reading Paulvonscott's Judge Death story!

I think you have sense to make only the end and beginning of each word sibilant. I wish you good luck to verify every "ssss" in the entire screenplay!

May be you can use "ssssearch and replacccce"? ;-)

Er, if thats true, then sorry for the joke. Brett Ewins is one of my all time superstar top ten line up of comic artists.

And I stood up for Bad Company 3 when no-one else would!

Perhaps but Storming Heaven was annoyingly long

2000AD Online

in a more posssssssitive vein, I hope the new Judge Death story goesss on for a long time.  It`ssss very interesssting.

"You missed of the extra ss from bliss."

Better than missing the extra "f" in off.

Better set your phaser to stun.

I have a feeling that even though Death ends next week, it won't wrap the story up.  He'll escape, and this will hopefully lead into a mega-epic of some kind.  Or a new Anderson story.  Imagine Anderson being genuinely scary.  I can't either.
