I've been using 'Digital Strip' for a while.  No lower case, but I quite like it.

I got 'slow golf clap'.  I even smiled...

But what were you using for everything before that? Hmmm?

I use digital strip for regular lettering as well. The use of bold to add emphasis in the words is nice.

Well, I've used WhizBang! for years, it's steep ($38) but has upper/lowercase/bold/italic/bold+italic and international characters.

I think I purchased it originally 7 or 8 years ago so it's averaged out about $5 per year :)

Heh- I look at my early lettering and cringe about it more than the artwork!

That's a nice font.  Are you allowed to use it for whatever you like, or are there restrictions on it?  Could you use it professionally (proper comic work), for example?

From the site:
"WhizBang provides a great simulation of comics lettering that can meet the needs of amateur, semi-professional and commercial comics publishers alike"

So, while there's no actual terms and conditions on the site certainly I'd be very surprised if you couldn't use it professionally (it might be a little 'generic' for most peoples tastes - but conversely that's exactly why I like it).

Have used Digital Strip, Zudjuice and Mighty Zeo with some reasonable results.

Getting to grips with (amongst other things) Font Lab 4 at the moment.

If you have any kind of artistic inclination and a Wacom tablet it's worth tracking it down on *insert file share site here*

Obviously you're not a golfer.

I really meant lettering inclinations..
