Oh, he's not very big, about 12"s tall, he's only got the one eye and can only say 8 things but I love him ever so much.

He's my new Dalek and he's brilliant. Remote controlled, swivelly eyes, says 'Exterminate!' at the push of a button, and is so spokily well made it's, well, spooky.

Okay, it's ?40 I could have spent better elsewhere but what they heck. Go out and get one today. Or maybe one of the cool dinky ones they have for ?20 instead.

I've got one too, and it's just about my favourite thing at the moment. Part of me worries about how I can justify spending 40 quid on such a thing, but the rest of me realises that at my age I don't have to justify myself, so nyer.

I bought myself one after Christmas. It cost me considerably less than the RRP. (Hooray!). On New Years Eve we set up a slalom course with satsumas on the carpet and timed each other to get from one end to the other and back.

I've no particular urge to get one of these, but if I did, I wouldn't bother with the self-recriminations unless I passed someone homeless on the street begging for forty quid for an operation for their sickly child. I prefer Pete's approach - if you can afford it, like Doctor Who, and you read comics and post on a comics messageboard over the internet and that, it seems a bit late to be worrying about buying a Dalek.
I once knew a guy who got his student grant check and spent it on Scalextric AND NOTHING ELSE, so it could be worse.

I was given one of these for xmas and I love it. A friend of mine has a full size Dalek (Desmond) that he bought for ?1,300 about 5 years ago and he is constantly working on improving it - his wife bought him a voice modulator for xmas and he's trying to think of a way to fit a motor inside. I keep telling him to cover Desmond in black leather and turn him into a bondage dalek but he won't do it. Also saw a 3ft ceramic dalek cookie jar (honest) in the window of Forbidden Planet on Shaftesbury Ave last week.

I've got an inflatable Dalek, with is great. I was hoping for a remote comtrol one from Santa, but sadly none appeared.

it will look good next to my TARDIS phone indicator,which devons grandparents sent him. its being kept in the music room next to the phone and MY MOBILE because thats the best place for it honest.
