Just a thought but...

This weeks Dredd is in Brit-Cit and the action takes place in Nu-Westminster, now in the Shameful SD story Final Solution, wasn't westminster abbey featured in that?  I don't remember it being Nu Westminster, but was it?  If not, hopefully, I can utilise this crack in reality to A. Distance Dredd and Strontium Dogs connection, and/or B. Once again pretend the Final Solution never happened.

And yes, I am aware that it was just a story and Gordon Rennie no doubt never intended this to be an issue.

Still, it might make an interesting discussion.

BUT!
Read the Armitage story (Influencial Circles?) about the royal family!
They all live under ground cut off from the rest of Brit Cit and have nothing to do with the outside world.  I'm also fairly sure that there was a King in that story - not a Queen - so how come it was the Queen's 50th Jubilee?

I'm putting this one down as a "Funny Story" like the Star Trek fantasy tale a while back.
Better set your phaser to stun.

No... no... it's all cannon, it's all cannon...

They have the devil in iso-block 666 you know...

Oh yes, it's all canon, it's all canon...

Actually, I suspect I'm probably wrong anyway, thereby actually making my case against FS even worse :)

I havn't read that Armitage story, but I NEVER liked the protrayel of Brit Cit in that.  Though armitage always looked quite cool.

I'm hoping this weeks Brit tale wasn't cannon as it was cack
The perspective on that chairs all wrong

With you on that one, it really was pants. And Dredd would never have delivered that awful speach at the end in any Wagner script. He doesn't pander to anyone, especially people he views with disdain.

There is also a Daily Star dredd story featuring a King Iggy visiting MC1.  Dredd strips him of his crown (incitement to robbery)and illegal fur robes.  Since this story features McGruder as Chief Judge, Iggy must have been on the Throne 17 or so years ago - the only true canon is Wagner canon!

Also Daily Star Dredd is the only place (AFAIK) where the number of Judges in MC1 is revealed....

Matt

I liked the Brit Cit portrayed in Armitage. I loved the idea of masons running everything & a justice department rife with corruption and prejudice. It was a total contrast to MC-1.

O Lucky Stevie!

>Iggy must have been on the Throne 17 or so years

perhaps he should do something about his diet?

i've wet my knickers!

YEAH BUT WHAT ABOUT WESTMINSTER ABBEY!?

Can someone tell me if its westminster or nu-westminster in Final Solution?

Cheers
