'Villagers who protested that a new housing estate would ?harm the fairies? living in their midst have forced a property company to scrap its building plans and start again. '

Any comment from our Perthsire correspondant?

Why on earth didn't he just dig the rock out quickly and cart it away? Once it had been moved thered be no need for the objections as it'd be too late. Why did he wait?
Not that that would necesarily be the right thing to do but surely from a builders point of view the most sensible?

They would be sued and have to put the rock back again...

"Built a 100 grand house without planning permission? Better get on the blower to JCB because it is coming down!"

Oh and the fairys would get them.

LOL! It's news to me!

I've rowed all eight miles of that loch, y'know. Twice.

It was a charity race, and we came second-last (of 18 teams) the first time, but were delighted to move one place up the field the following year.

Didn't see any fairies, though.

Well if they were on site with diggers I'd assume they had planning permission.
