I have to use this piece of shit for my accounts etc.

I'm on a Mac and everytime Xcel or Word opens it 'optimises the fonts' and spends ages telling me that half of them are corrupt when they are def. not seeing as I use them to design numerous things with everyday of the bloody year 24/7 and never had a problem so it's obviously the Gates Police doing an AOL style f**k on my system.

Apart from swicthing off all the fonts in my fontbook how the hell do i stop these programmes optimising the fonts? I don't want them to do that all I need is to update a spreadsheet / read a clients file without having to piss around for 10-15 minutes having to turn off something which is in my core system and is far more important than some piss ant microsoft programme that in effect is an overblown calculator designed my some rich theiving geek bastich.

Rant over.

Anyone help?

Could you try exporting your data to a new file? That one sounds like it may be corrupt. Or is it every file?

Sticking 'Mac' in the heading may have been a good idea.
