Anyone care to list (and link to) their favourite paintshop pro and photoshop plug-ins?
Cheers

Clint Langley's got a nice flame effect filter...
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

Art

"Remove teeth fillings" would be a good one.

Max Kon

i like the emboss filterhttp://www.thecybermax.com/images/maxart1.jpg">

I tend not to use the filters very much- maybe the odd bit of 'zoom' or other such blurring tools.  I make more use of opacity between layers, to be honest.

I'm getting used to adding layers that I can work the greys with...

And this new fangled pen thing (Thanks again JEB) makes it a lot more controllable.

Filters my arse.

I'm a purest using only what comes with Pshop, i.e. sharpening, blurring and a few artistic filters. It depends on the job you're working on and like JEB I tend to make more use of masks and layer effects, such as multiply and overlay etc. Most times over filtering is gilding the lilly, keep it real!

I rememebr the very first painting I did in Photoshop.

It was of a spacehip.

I must have had a hundred "lens flares" on it

Matt Timson

LOL!  Lensflare- the curse of Photoshop!

The problem with filters is that... well... they look like filters.  The best way of using a filter (IMHO) is very subtley, so that they compliment, rather than dominate.  Most filters seem to come with a big LOOK AT ME flag attached, though.

Admittedly, that's usually because people tend to use them on the default setting, rather than experimenting.

Pff... I feel like getting jiggy wit some filters now...

What you mean like some of the american pshop, quilted montages, from the mid west... :-?

Matt Timson

Actually, I quite like this.  I think it has legs!

Nnnnnggg... step... away... from... filters...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/johnnyeyebrows/filtafrenzy.jpg">

I can't believe it- I still have this on my hard-drive!

Can you count how many lens flares are on this thing?

Johnny, as much as it pains me to say it*, that's just nasty!

But..But it's got filters?.... It must be good!

Matt Timson

Heh- I'm not sure what my first fully digital pic was- but it was either a cartoon or a caricature.  The stuff in the fan art section is probably my earliest attempt at anything other than that- and it hurts my eyes to look at it now...

How old is your masterpiece?
