I take it that was sarcasm, Brazil are far from the favourites. Actually I think that France are regarded as one of the strongest this year, so it may well be them again...

England will get through the groups, but will lose once more on penalties (and some poor sod of a striker will need to find a way to redeem himself).

Dear Jacob,

I hate to say this. Zizou has been 'nobbled'(?) by Senegalese juju and as I type this, France are losing to Senegal in the first half of the first match.

Even I would not put France as favorites right now. But they will always be *my* favorite!
