BILLY BINNS AND HIS MAGIC SPECS

Like his namesake with the lucky boots, Billy was another lad in the long line
 of comic book weeds transformed by some form of magical aid, in his case
 a wonderful pair of spectacles. A typical schoolboy geek, Billy was easy
 prey for the bad eggs until his glasses turned him into a sportsman with
 super skills and strength. Unbelievably, the youngster had no idea what
 lay behind his Jekyll and Hyde lifestyle, which started life in Boy's World
 in 1963. He also displayed his unlikely international hero status in Eagle and Wham!
