Yeah - If Rebellion can stump up for the Dredd and Rogue making of books, surely theres a much larger market for a history of 2000AD, and if marketed well, it may even bring in a few lapsed readers who pick it up for the nostalgia trip and can be convinced that the prog has turned itself around from whatever ailments of the past led thenm to abandon the prog.

Jon0 mentioned the possibility a while ago.
I'm not sure if he wants this out there, but with the Bish's post, it seems people know.
A hefty price tag was also mentioned.

I suspect if I wasn't drunk, I wouldn't post this.

http://viciousimagery.blogspot.com/2006/03/year-of-writing-non-fiction.html'>here although - he doesn't actually mention that it's TPO and since he didn't respond to the comments, who knows...?

Well, the comment about the project being a "capstone on something that's occupied a vast amount of my working life" would certainly suggest whatever it is is tied into his years with 2000AD & the Megazine.

Hopefully he was discussing TPO, and hopefully all the various bits & bobs that need tying up will be sorted and the book can go ahead.

...oh, and I'll second the comment above about the Making Of... books. I've got no idea what the target audience for those books is, but I'd guess it must be vanishingly small. If they can get published, there must be hope for a non-fic book like TPO.

Well, I think we should take the blog in the spirit it was given and say no more, guv.

On the making of books.  Well, it's probably the equivelant of a high class company brochure.  Of interest to some 2000AD fans, but perhaps much more a part of Rebellions wider interests.  I imagine they sit on the Rebellion offices coffee table and are taken to high powered meetings :)
