You've probably read the story in the papers but here's the interview in full. Worth watching for the look on his face when the interview starts and for the fact that his answers are surprisinlgy plausible.

Ha, that guys awesome though for staying cool as der cucumber throughout.

What a hoot! He did quite a good job apart from making an 'astonished' face at the beginning.
Do net experets always sound so much like Inspector Clouseau?

Dan Kelly

The real Guy Kewney is "not amused"....

And apparantly he's not actually a cabbie but if you slow down the speed and watch you can see shock, panic as to how to correct her, and then very briefly an evil smile as he decides to go along with it.

A friend of mine read somewhere that he was there for an interview for an IT job, and that was where the confusion began. The real Guy Kewney definately doesn't seem to have seen the funny side though.

Yeah he was a French Guyanan who was there for an IT job interview .. and he's got the same first name as the expert as the real expert - hence the confusion. He just assumed at first it was some wacky 'Apprentice' type test... I think he did pretty well by the end. I hope he gets the job.

Keef Monkey

He deserves it just for rolling with it like that, was a hell of a job interview.

I would comment that "the BBC is so shit these days", but that's hardly a refinement of my overall position which is "everything is so shit these days".
STRIKE !!!

I've sat in Reception at BBC Centre for ages after being forgotten about as well.
