I've never read any Manga. Not that I haven't tried. I gave Akira a go a few years back and found it to be impenetrable.

I've never read The Invisibles, or Luther Arkwright, or most of the past twenty years of Slaine.

That said, I probably will get around to reading Slaine fairly soon - now that I finally have a complete collection of progs, my plan is to read ten progs every day, from cover to cover. I will embark upon this plan Real Soon Now. Probably.

Hey I haven't read Invisibles or Luther Arkwright either. Should I be ashamed? Am I missing much?

SamuelAWilkinson

Absolutely nowt by Marvel.
No Swamp Thing.
Not read all of Sandman.
No DKR. In fact, no DC superhero stuff at all, except Watchmen.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

Tu-plang

I've never read:
Dark Knight Returns
100 Bullets
Y: The Last Man
Superman (any)
Powers
Sin City
X-Men (any)

and... The Apocalypse War

I, Cosh

Points right back to those who haven't read Akira, 300, The Invisibles, Luther Arkwright or Sin City. They're all worth reading apart from Sin City.
We never really die.

I, Cosh

What about Cerebus?
We never really die.

The rules are simple; you get points for naming a famous book which you haven't read. If any body else has also not read it, you get the top score for that round.

I haven't read Palestine either, so one less to scutfink

surely that means one more to me?

I've not had a decent night's sleep all week, I'm confused...

Dark Jimbo

Crikey, we are doing this in-depth - so I'm adding:

Cerebus, Akira, 300, The Invisibles, Luther Arkwright, Y: The Last Man, Superman (any), X-Men (any), Swamp Thing, Sandman, We3, any Manga except Nausicaa and Battle Royale, Lone Wolf, 100 Bullets, Captain Britain, Bone, Starman, Stray Bullets, Maus, American Splendour, Bacchus, Concrete, Wonder Woman, (any), (in fact no Marvel whatsoever apart from Thor), Palestine, or any of the classic Dredd epics - this includes the Apocalypse War, Cursed Earth, Judge Cal, Judge Child Mission, and Oz.

Phew.
@jamesfeistdraws

Dark Jimbo

Oh, and From Hell.
@jamesfeistdraws

Dudley

I've not read virtually everything listed above, plus a lot more besides.

House of Usher

I've not read The Invisibles, The Authority, Palestine, Global Frequency, Losers, or From Hell.
STRIKE !!!

Amstor - If you can, try and pick up some Bacchus; *very* funny in places and can even be a bit [twitch]...educational. ;) I first read it in A1 and it was my introduction to Eddie Campbell.

I'm not particularly bothered about things that I've not read that I don't own, but rather my backlog of stuff that's been sat on my selves unread for varying amounts of time.

Some I've started but have put down and not read since. For example: I've not picked up From Hell since I actually fell asleep reading one of the "Look how much research I've done!" parts Moore felt he had to include.

Other stuff that I've got that I just haven't got around to reading are Scarlet Traces, Atavar, Hewligan's Haircut, Glimmer Rats, two Modesty Blaise collections, Road to Perdition, The DC Showcase Green Lantern book, The Crow...

Floyd-the-k

The maximum score is if you haven't read something and everybody else has. So, for example, if you have never read Watchmen and the rest of the players have you get a point for each player. You get one less point for each other person who hasn't read the book too, because there's less shame involved.
As the name would suggest, the comic/book has to be a bit of a classic. No fair naming some forgettable thing someone else happens to have read. So in the original game, which was played by literature-snobs, Agatha Christie bookw wouldn't be considered

Satanist

I'm ashamed to say I've read and own most of the above.

I wasted my life!
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

scutfink

it's not really a wasteed life, unless you hated every one of them...
