Just wanted to say that I am *yet again* bowled-over at the sheer brilliance of this little gem.  The amount of research, creativity and thought that's gone into it leaps off every page, and the sheer wealth of content means it'll continue to be my Bogside Browser of choice for months to come.  Funny, intriguing, often surreal and genuinely informative.  Swee-poib.

Well worth the money, and if it didn't go against every moral certainty that I hold dear to praise the Molch so highly, I'd rabbit on about it even longer.

Incidentally: A supreme front cover.  So good, in fact, that I'm even going to apologise to the ultra-talented artist responsible for inadvertently (read: drunkenly) perving over his girlfriend.

Say it loud, brother!

Thanks for the praise Si - it really belongs to everyone who contributed to another great issue, most of them at the last minute as I began my usual cycle of panic/relax/panic/relax.

Now, I'm contractually and morally obliged to ask the following ...

Glad you liked it so much, would you like to contribute to the next issue, by any chance? ;P
+++ implementing rigid format protocols +++ meander mode engaged +++

Can we quote you on that? There can really be no higher recommendation than a chap's choice of bog lit to peruse in the Smallest Room ;)

"A supreme front cover."

We could play a game of guess who modelled for the cover.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

I'm going to expose my big ignorance growth to the world here by saying that I really want to read this thing but don't have the slightest idea how to get a copy. I never make it to conventions so if it's a small press thing I can't aquire it that way. Is there a mail order thingy? I feel I have remained ignorant too long, want to seek these great things out more than in the past!

Information on availability is on the Wikipedia entry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_End_Is_Nigh#Availability

Unfortunately due to last minute unexpected extra printing costs (which we won't go into to save LMS' health/sanity) it won't be available through comic shops.

However, you will be able to buy a copy via the website:

http://www.endisnigh.co.uk/

Currently you can only get issue #2 (not too big a hardship as it is worth getting too!! It is the one which won SFX's Fanzine of the Month award and Boo Cook's cover is nearly worth it in itself ;) ) but they should be updating the order form soon so you will be able to order it online any day.

When its done I'm sure someone will drop in and let you know - keep watching this space (and the skies - always the skies).

Thiiiiiiink, I've ordered it, only used paypal a couple of times so will wait and see what happens, but cheers for the advice!

Emperor

I'm sure it worked fine (LMS will be able to tell you if your roder has gone through).

In other news the site has now been updated so you can now order issue #3 online:

Also just ordered Wild West Wendy, I am dipping my toes into the land of small press to see if I like it. Always assumed it would be tough to get the stuff but with Paypal it's almost too easy.

Well my paypal account is telling me I need to get verified before I can but anything else on it... so I'll have to wait for FutureQuake and Solarwind goodness... EiN is ordered tho'

For those with the mag the extra content feature is now up and running - just go to TEIN site and type the special number in the box on the left.

More content will be added and it'll be flagged so you can spot the extra goodies (I think the only extra is alternate art for a strip in issue #2).

Haven't recieved my copy of this yet but did get my Wild West Wendy yesterday and really enjoyed it, some great lines and she comes across as a really strong character in the space of one short comic which is cool. Also the art seems to get better as it goes on which bodes well for the next installment. Looking forward to more small press goodies now, thinking I should check out this futurequake shizzle.

Emperor

Definitely check out FQ - you can grab the first 3 from their site as PDFs (for free!!) to get you into the swing of things.

The Adventurer

Can some one give me the break down on what's in "The End is Nigh"? Content, Page Count, ect?

I've been thinking about picking up issue #2 and now #3 for a while, but I'm still not sure what's actualy in the book.
