This may be an entirely innapropriate place to post this, but it's about music, so it's not ENTIRELY innapropriate.

Does anyone recall an indie-britpoppy song from sometime in the 90s which had a woman singing and a bloke in the background occasionally saying things like "she's lying"? It's been driving me mad.

Come to think of it, the bloke might be singing and the girl going on in the background. I have no idea.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

Dog Deever

I remember the 'shes lying' line, can't think what it was though.

L7 bush on the Word was quality too.
Incidentally, the Blaggers were on the Word too- complete with heavy mob security to keep the fascists at bay. Cool or what?

Fegbarr, it was Jimmy Nail. Dunno what the song was called though. "I don't need no-body else......she's lying". I'm more ashamed of knowing that than I ever will be about my love for Def Leppard.

Dog Deever

Jimmy Nail? JIMMY NAIL? JIMMY FUCKIN NAIL!

Sell your guitar, put your coat on, and kindly leave this MUIC thread!

Jimmy Nail?

Shit. I'll never be able to show me face in a small record shop again.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

Radbacker

been re-purchasing my Metallica collection lately, Fark yeah Master of Puppets and And Justice for All still rule.  CAnt beat the old masters(less said about Load and assorted shit the better).  Does anyone else have problems keeping hold of these 2 CD's in particular this must be the sixth or seventh time I've brought em.

Psalm 69 - industrial greatness, got me listening to different stuff aside from thrash.

CU Radbacker

Grant Goggans

I played Loveless by My Bloody Valentine for the first time in years recently and was amazed by how underwhelming it was, just really dull.  I kept leaving the room, forgetting it was on.

Keef Monkey

Okay, I'll just slip on my crocodile shoes and leave then :)
Another album I'm re-discovering is Astro Creep:2000:Songs Of Love, Destruction And Other Synthetic Delusions Of The Electric Head by White Zombie(sorry, I hate to not give it it's full title)! Possibly the best start to an album ever. Although all this Psalm69 talk has me wanting to dig out the Ministry again...

I, Cosh

Hipster, I always felt Loveless was over-produced to a ridiculous degree, but I still don't find it boring. Just stick on Isn't Anything and remember how good music can be.
We never really die.

Def Leppard

hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahah

oh mercy

Quirkafleeg

Just listening to Dookie by Green Day for the first time in ages... it rocks

God I loathed Def Leppard at the time. How could such bland dross be so popular? Also loosing a guitarist could be seen as an accident but also loosing half a drummer is just careless, surely?

Floyd-the-k

I never really forgot about Radio Birdman, so maybe they shouldn't be on this thread. But I didn't hear their music for a long long time. Then I bought a 'best of' CD and it was fantastic

Richmond Clements

Not a fan of Def Leppadr, butI saw them live on the Slang tour, and they were fantasic.

I've recently rediscovered Van HAlen, and through that Diamond Dave's solo work- which is easily just as rocktastic.
