Pet Shop Boys Very is still utterly wonderful, even better ist he double disc er-release with Hey Headmaster, Too Many People, and the all time classic Shameless which just gets more and more appropriate as time goes by.

And they have a new album out! Musical yay! And with a bit of luck I can save money by buying that and the new Beautiful South album at the same time! Double musical yay!

Ministry

Quite possibly the only band in history to have a 'Bone Technician' as part of their road crew!
I shit you not!
Today i found:
Flux of Pink Indians- Strive to Survive Causing the Least Suffering Possible.

Anarcho-Shouty noise!
THEY LIE, WE DIE; THEY LIE WE DIE; THEY LIE, WE DIE; THEY LIE, WE DIIIIIEEEEEEE!
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

Stuff I've been listening to lately:
Iggy and the Stooges
Devo
Misfits
New Order
Fireball Ministry
Jimmy Cliff.
A brilliant Ska cover of Ghostbusters (can't remember who by)
As well as my usual trinity of Led Zep, The Clash and Bob Marley.

Can I track down any Senseless things? can I bollocks. Gah!

Also rediscovered my love for the Doors.

"Ministry

Also the only band I've ever seen live who had 2 drummers, one of whom played distorted saxaphone during the gentler moments. I may have imagined all of that though.

I, Cosh

Also the only band I've ever seen live who had 2 drummers

Butthole Surfers.
We never really die.

I've just rediscovered 'yoshimi fights the pink robots' by the flaming lips.It didn't do a huge ammount for me when it came out, but i got their latest album and its great and i also recently watched a film about the band called 'the fearless freaks' which was fantastic!
I've been completely won over.
I will now proceed to overlisten to them to the point that i won't be able to put an album of theirs on for years!

all the best,

David Ackles - the three albums out on CD are all an acquired taste - its a bit like Leonard Cohen, but with a darker view of the world and a more theatrical delivery - but songs like "Down River" and "Road to Cairo" are just really evocative - the man who inspired Elvis Costello to write songs apparently

I've got the Chesney Hawkes album. Listened to it for first time in YEARS yesterday. it's not bad, you know. and one of the tracks sounds like Kiss...
Dawn of the first day. 72 hours remain.

Sods! I've been after those Sensless Thing albums for years! I still dig Got It At The Delmar. Anyone willing to aid my quest through dubious piracy?

I've been getting back into Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine. Some Happy Mondays too.
