Due to various requests, a "coming soon" section has been added to the TPB website. Note that some of the covers are placeholders, because no final art yet exists for them.

Anyway: enjoy!

The Amstor Computer

Oh, good man!

I'm assuming Fiends, Bec & Kawl, and Leviathan are likely to be final covers, as they all appear to be new pieces of art, rather than the reused covers on some of the other titles.

The Nemesis cover is nice, following the striking design of the Dredd Case Files. Much as I might have preferred shorter books with better stock, I'm still going to be picking up this when it launches. The page counts for the Dredd books are interesting & if they're all correct, it looks like I was wrong about there being another one or two shorter books in the series. I'll have to have a squizz at the database and figure out what'll be in each - looks like Block Mania and The Apocalypse War should both be in one volume at least.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I, Cosh

Neat-o. That Nemesis cover is pretty cool.

Have the contents of the next two Case Files been reorganised? Last time I remember Jon O mentioning it, it seemed like 04 was a fair bit shorter than the 384 pages quoted there.

And four months between 4 & 5?
We never really die.

IndigoPrime

Regarding book contents, I've no idea. All the information is as it was in the document Jon sent over to me. As for the final covers, I've no idea if any of them are final, but I suspect most of the non-Dredd case files ones are (although the Portrait of a Mutant one is the old DC cover, yet to be redesigned). Note that the Leviathan one looks a lot better when at full size, obviously.

Indigo:
It would be a really helpful tool if it was possible to use the "complete books" list as a "wants" and "owns" page.
Any chance?
Cheers

Nice idea, but beyond the power of my web-fu skills (I'm primarily a front-end designer, who dabbles in a very small amount of scripting). However, the idea's on board and in the ol' brain, so maybe later in the summer, when I have some spare time, I'll try and figure out how to do this.

The Amstor Computer

Quick guesses as to contents, based on the listings:

FIENDS OF THE EASTERN FRONT

Looks like it's the straight story with no extras - at most, perhaps a cover gallery.

LEVIATHAN

If the page count is correct, this should include Leviathan and perhaps one of the Tales Of The Leviathan stories, but would probably miss out the other two. Hopefully that's not the case & the collection will be a complete reprint.

XTNCT

Looks like there might be a bit more in the way of extras in this one given the page count.

------------------------

JUDGE DREDD: THE COMPLETE CASE FILES VOL. 4

The Judge Child to The Blitz Agencies

JUDGE DREDD: THE COMPLETE CASE FILES VOL. 5

The Psychos to Fungus (including both Block Mania and The Apocalypse War, plus some of the immediate follow-up stories)

JUDGE DREDD: THE COMPLETE CASE FILES VOL. 6

The Game Show Show to Cry of the Werewolf

JUDGE DREDD: THE HUNTING PARTY

The Pack
The Hunting Party
Lost in Americana
Fog on the Eerie
Dance of the Spider Queen
Camp Demento

Trail of the Man-Eaters

...plus a fair bit of room for a cover gallery etc.

JUDGE DREDD: THE COMPLETE P.J. MAYBE

The Confeshuns of PJ Maybe
Wot I Did During Necropolis
PJ & the Mock Choc Factory

Bring Me the Heart of PJ Maybe
Six
The Monsterus Mashinashuns of PJ Maybe

------------------------

SLAINE: BOOKS OF INVASIONS VOL. 2

Scota
Tara

...plus, if the first volume is anything go by, a bundle of extras. A third book collecting Odacon and Carnival should tie this series up nicely.

BEC & KAWL: BLOODY STUDENTS

Bec & Kawl and the Mystical Mentalist Menace!
Beccy Miller's Diary
Enlightenment
eeevil.com
Pest Control
Toothache
Hell to Pay
Attack of the Cones
Freakshow

(excellent decision moving this to US format - it gives readers a complete reprint to date in one book for a series that doesn't really fit the Euro format that well)

ROGUE TROOPER VOL. 6: REALPOLITIK

What Lies Beneath
Weapons of War
Overkill
Lions
A Visit to the Boneyard
Requiem
Angels
Ghouls
Realpolitik
Condor Six Down
New Model Army

(it would perhaps make more narrative sense to conclude this volume at Realpolitik, but the book length suggests it'll reprint all "New" Rogue to date)

NIKOLAI DANTE VOL. 4: TSAR WARS

Rudinshtein Irregulars
Love and War
Battleship Potemkin
One Last Night in the House of Sin
The Beguiling
Fiends

THE COMPLETE NEMESIS THE WARLOCK: VOLUME 1

Terror Tube
Killer Watt
The World of Termight
The Alien Alliance
The Secret Life of the Blitzspear
The World of Nemesis
A Day in the Death of Torquemada
The Gothic Empire
Ego Trip

(Chunky! Hopefully we'll get rarities like the Dice Man stories in the subsequent volume...)

STRONTIUM DOG VOL. 2: PORTRAIT OF A MUTANT

Mutie's Luck
The Doc Quince Case
The Bad Boys Bust
Portrait of a Mutant

(surely there's just enough room to squeeze Incident at the Back o' Beyond and The Beast of Milton Keynes in here? Or were they both in colour?)

------------------------

Anyway, looks like a nice, solid line-up & I don't see any books in there I would really want to avoid. A touch more variety over the next year would be welcome - too much Dredd and Rogue for me, and I really want to see a fourth volume of Sin/Dex and some of the more unusual 2000AD strips getting a shot - but given how good the releases over the past few months have been, I'm happy to see what Jon & Co. come up with next.

Again, thanks to IP for posting all the info - much appreciated.

IndigoPrime

It is a strong line-up, and I'm particularly happy to see the Nemesis book, Tsar Wars, Leviathan and (finally) a continuation of Strontium Dog. To some extent, I echo Amstor's hopes for 2007?it would be good to hold back a little on the Dredd, and not have one of the secondary characters take over like Rogue has done of late.

My main wish?in terms of a single book?for next year (and something that's likely to happen) is to see the conclusion to the four-book Sam Slade series, which wraps things up nicely for that character. Aside from continuing reprints of Strontium Dog and Nemesis, and a second (and third!) Cabs, Inc. book, I'm quite happy to play "wait and see", especially seeing as I'm well aware that most of my other wishes (Complete Luke Kirby, for example) are probably unlikely to happen, due to being too niche.

One thing's for sure, though: who would have thought five years back that we'd have had such a comprehensive range of 2000 AD books on the go? Take a step back and just look at what's already there: it's a pretty fab collection.

>The Nemesis cover is nice, following the striking design of the Dredd Case Files.

PYE-01 was saying at Bristol that the real cover will probably have some the elaborate O'Neil bordering seen in early Nemesis strips.

Funt Solo

An angry nineties throwback who needs to get a room.

The Adventurer

This new site rocks. Being able to look that far ahead is both great and bad. Great because I can prepare for what I'm buying, bad because I want it all now!

I hope it updates monthly!

The Adventurer

Going over the site, and keeping in mind I know it's new, I have a few suggestions.

1. Content breakdowns like we find on the TP listings on the main 2000AD site.

2. Small Cover Images should link to the full sized cover image.

Uh...actualy, that's it.

ThryllSeekyr

It's ;looks as though Nemesis is going the same waty as Judge Dredd. I only wonder if the rest will follow.

Judging by the number of the Dredd Cases files listed already.( Pardon the pun.) How many of those will there be in full?

I do hope that Clint Lanely does a alternative themes for the next two Slaine GN's like the first one.

IndigoPrime

:: I hope it updates monthly!

So far, the site has been updated every month anyway, with me adding the new titles and making general edits and fixes as appropriate. As for the "coming soon" section, I'll add information as I receive it from Jon. I suspect it'll be a few months before enough of 2007's schedule is nailed down, thereby enabling me to add any of it to the site. (However, this is pure speculation?I've no idea how many of next year's books have been decided on so far.)

:: Content breakdowns like we find on the TP listings
:: on the main 2000AD site.

Yes, that seems like a good idea, although the sites have different reasons for existing, so I would likely simplify these listings to titles and perhaps where each piece originally came from. Time's at a premium right now, though, so that'll have to wait until later in the summer.

:: Small Cover Images should link to the full sized
:: cover image.

As in the "coming soon" ones? Those are thumbnails on purpose, because they're just previews?many of the covers aren't the final ones. When they're added to the site each month, the standard mid-sized cover will be used (355px wide).

:: Judging by the number of the Dredd Cases files listed
:: already.( Pardon the pun.) How many of those will there
:: be in full?

Dredd or Nemesis? Dredd could carry on for dozens of books, the exact number depending on how the Meg/colour stuff is dealt with. I would think Nemesis could be wound up in 3 or 4.

:: I do hope that Clint Lanely does a alternative themes
:: for the next two Slaine GN's like the first one.

I doubt we'll be seeing "Sl?ine, book 2: like the first one, but worse!" Typically, once Rebellion starts out on a series, it tends to improve, not deteriorate, and I suspect the same lush production values will be evident in all of the Books of Invasions volumes.
