I hope no-one minds a wee bit of showing-off, but I've been dying to post this since I saw the final piece :-)

Several months ago I was put in touch with Charlie Adlard to discuss a commission. I put a few ideas to him, some of which stuck & some of which didn't. We eventually settled on a montage from a period of Doctor Who that I'm particularly fond of, and when Charlie found a space in his schedule he fired on and came up with this:

(Apologies for the slightly iffy scan - I had to scan it in segments, stitch it and resize to reasonable dimensions)

I'm delighted with the final piece, and if he's reading I'd like to say a big thank-you to Charlie again for fitting this in.

Anyway, showing-off over :-)

Anyone else have a favourite piece of original art, or a particularly nice piece of comic art?

Cthulouis

Very nice.

Whos the guy at the front? (my knowledge of that era of Who is a little shakey)

The Amstor Computer

The chap at the front is the War Chief, a renegade Time Lord who appeared in The War Games, Trougton's final appearance as the Doctor.

The idea for the piece was, obviously, to have an array of classic villains along with the Doctor and a few of his companions from that period, and Charlie managed to fit in pretty much everything I'd suggested - the Yeti, the Ice Warriors, Invasion-era Cybermen, the Dalek Emperor, the War Chief, the Brigadier and Victoria & Jamie.

Wow, the war chief looks really manly in that picture. I seem to remember him as more weedy, but I haven't seen it for ages.

It's Harold Meeker.

Nice page, by the way!

And while I'm here, I might as well join in the showing off!

Just this morning I took delivery of a few pages of art from Dom Reardon. Including this one:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/rac11/Changlings-21.jpg">

Nice choice of page, Rac. Love Dom's work on Cabs, and that story has a host of great moments. BTW - anyone know whether Dom's art for Something Wicked is available, or whether it was quickly snapped up by a FQ contributor?

Richmond Clements

Dom painted the strip in individual seperate panels.
The Berridge creature has the final three frames- and they look amazing. Don't know about the rest of it though.
